Danan Trent Woytowich

In loving memory

Danan Trent Woytowich
April 15, 1957 – Oct 30, 2008

We wish to honour Danan Woytowich, who died in a freak boating accident in Burke Channel east of Bella Bella on Oct 30, 2008.

Danan loved the outdoors, which brought him to choose a career in reforestation. He contributed to the reforesting of BC and Alberta by personally planting more than two million trees covering thousands of hectares.

Danan started working with Brinkman in 1986, and by the early nineties he was one of the more technically proficient planters. Planting over two million trees put him in a very small elite group of Canadians. He was in a true sense a professional silviculture worker, expert in most of our company’s other ecosystem restoration services. He worked with many supervisors, and in the last few years, with Claude and Jabez.

Danan was a quiet, intelligent and reserved man who worked long seasons, took good care of himself and was a consistent efficient high quality worker. Quiet intelligent professional silviculture workers like Danan are the backbone of the company.

Danan left behind five brothers and sisters and a daughter.
